"Where fairytales and roadkill meet."

Once upon a time a girl, a vespa and a very long highway started an adventure. Driving down highway 50 “the loneliest highway in America” the only thing to occupy her time was to watch the scenery. “Man, there are a lot of dead rabbits on this road. I think I should count them ….” and so started a life long obsession with little dead creatures.

Jeanie’s obsession with road kill started in the early 80’s and transmogrified from counting on the road side, to photographing and eventually bringing home as treasures.

In addition to taxidermy, Jeanie’s art includes hand tinted photographs of nudes merged with road kill, assemblages with skulls, and other bits of teeth, fur and bone. She has also created road kill calendars, zines, and even wrote papers on road kill in college.

Best known for her whimsical creations with mice she has been creating mouse-adermy for over 14 years. Jeanie has been featured in newspapers, books, magazines and television. She occasionally teaches mouse-adermy workshops in San Francisco to a never ending stream of twisted enthusiast, and is known to make a killer lasgne.
